https://www.wusf.org/2025-03-19/how-astronauts-adjust-when-back-on-earth-after-being-in-space After Wilmore and Williams' capsule landed, post-mission recovery and medical teams met the astronauts and transported them to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. While there, they will undergo "a progressive 45-day post-mission recovery program," NASA says. During this time, the crew will have medical and performance testing, participate in studies and follow a "structured reconditioning program." They'll spend two hours every day with trainers, working on a personalized recovery plan to work back toward the fitness levels they had before they left on their mission, NASA says. and (from another astronaut And at one point while still getting adjusted to being back on Earth, he forgot he could no longer float. "I was like, laying in bed. I had to go to the bathroom and I just started pushing off my back thinking, 'I'm going to float to the bathroom.' And the light was out and I'm pushing up and I roll out of bed," he says.

Jokes about the priesthood aside, the hardest one to deal with would probably be ongoing child abuse. We have a friend in the UK who's a GP, and she said it's surprising how many people seem to think that a doctor is bound by the same rules as a priest. Needless to say, she reported the bastard immediately.

@taiwan_girl said in Let’s get back to debating the important stuff…: I am always afraid someone will "ding" the car door, so try to avoid parking near someone. But , usually, I dont have a choice. That's only a problem if you drive an International Woman of Mystery car like an Aston Martin. I drive a Honda, so I don't care.

@NobodySock said in Everyday is now Saturday: every day for the rest of my life is now called Saturday! A friend of mine says that when he retires, he is going to throw a party but have it on a Sunday evening. LOL

@jon-nyc said in 2 tbsp per 6oz?: My mother used to measure out the coffee every night before bed with that little scoop. I remember saying to her ‘you’ve been doing this for 40 years, can’t you just eyeball it?’ She did after that and felt kind of dumb for measuring all those years when she knew exactly how high up in the basket the coffee would fill. Yoiu should be ashamed.

@Mik said in THC Seltzers: Yeah, but by the time you've had a few it will hit you like a ton of bricks. Much like liquor, it'll sneak up on you and then WHAM! The double or triple IPAs are the same way. To me, they taste great, but they are delayed boozy bombs not to underestimate.

The idea that billionaires really understand us common folk is quaint.
